Wonboyn Beach
South Coast, NSW
A remote surf beach and lake village south of Eden, at the back door of Beowa National Park's Green Cape coast and Disaster Bay.
About this place
Wonboyn is a tiny settlement on Wonboyn Lake, with Wonboyn Beach facing the Tasman and Disaster Bay around the corner toward Green Cape. It is the leftover far-south stop after Light to Light, Green Cape and Boyds Tower: fishing, kayaking the lake, and a long empty beach. Access is via Wonboyn Road off the Princes Highway south of Eden. Facilities are limited — a small general store / holiday park in the village. Bring supplies. The southern Beowa tracks and Disaster Bay lookout are a drive rather than a stroll.
Access & getting there
Wonboyn Road off the Princes Highway south of Eden. Unpatrolled, remote. Limited services in the village.
Wonboyn Beach, Greenglade / Wonboyn NSW 2551
