Wentworth Falls
Blue Mountains, NSW
A 187 m three-tier waterfall on Jamison Creek, the centrepiece of the Wentworth Falls clifftop.
About this place
Wentworth Falls is a three-tier waterfall about 187 m high on Jamison Creek in Blue Mountains National Park. The top is reached on Wentworth Falls Track from the picnic area; Jamison and Wentworth lookouts give valley context before the drop. After heavy rain the falls are spectacular; the same weather closes lower tracks. Stay on formed lookouts; fatal falls have occurred here. National Pass and Wentworth Pass closures often block the base.
Access & getting there
View from Wentworth Falls Track and lookouts. Lower National Pass access is closed west of the middle crossing. Not a swimming hole at the main drop.
Wentworth Falls picnic area, Falls Road, Wentworth Falls NSW 2782
Safety notes
Unfenced and hidden cliff edges near the falls. Stay on tracks. Several deaths from falls. No jumping.
Gear notes
Sturdy shoes if walking to the top of the falls.
