The Boathouse Shelly Beach

Northern Beaches, NSW

A sand-level cafe on Shelly Beach — the easy reward after Spit to Manly, the Fairy Bower walk, or a Cabbage Tree Bay snorkel.

About this place

The Boathouse sits on the sand at Shelly Beach, open from 7am for breakfast and lunch, no bookings for regular tables. Fish and chips, coffee and a west-facing bay — it is the obvious end point if you have walked from Spit Bridge or around from Manly. Dogs are welcome at outdoor tables. Walk in off the beach rather than hunting for a carpark.

Access & getting there

Walk-ins only for regular dining (no reservations). Open 7am-3pm daily. Paid council carpark nearby is small. Accessible ramp and toilets on site.
