Somersby Falls
Central Coast, NSW
Cascading waterfalls in a rainforest gully of Brisbane Water National Park, with an accessible picnic area and an 800 m return walking track.
About this place
Somersby Falls picnic area is a Central Coast favourite: rainforest, barbecues and three levels of cascade on Floods Creek, minutes from the M1 at Somersby. The picnic area itself is wheelchair accessible. Somersby Falls walking track is an 800 m return walk through rainforest to the top and bottom falls — steep and slippery in places, so watch children. Gates open 7 am to 6 pm (8 pm in daylight saving). Park entry fees apply. Pair it with Girrakool picnic area a few minutes away for a half-day in Brisbane Water National Park.
Access & getting there
Somersby Falls Road off Wisemans Ferry Road. Carpark locked at closing. $8 per vehicle per day. Visit on weekdays to avoid peak crowds.
