Seven Mile Beach Lennox Head
North Coast, NSW
A long quartz-sand run from Lennox Point toward Broken Head, with a headland lookout, lake and right-hand point break.
About this place
Seven Mile Beach unrolls north from Lennox Head toward Broken Head, a classic Northern Rivers strand backed by heath and tea-tree. Lennox Point is a famed right-hand surf break; Pat Morton lookout on the 65 m basalt headland is the place for dolphins, whales and hang-gliders. Freshwater Lake Ainsworth sits just behind the dunes, tannin-stained and popular in summer (watch for blue-green algae). Walk as far as you like — the sand is the point.
Access & getting there
Village parking at Lennox Head; additional access along the beach road. Patrolled areas vary — check Surf Life Saving flags.

Safety notes
Unpatrolled stretches have strong rips. Cliff edges at Pat Morton lookout. Check lake algae warnings before swimming in Ainsworth.
