Northern Beaches, NSW

Steep 3.4km Garigal descent via Timber Getters and Bay tracks to Bantry Bay, then up The Bluff to Natural Bridge.

About this place

From Seaforth Oval on Wakehurst Parkway this 3.4km one-way walk drops on Timber Getters track — steep, historic, and currently in poor condition according to NPWS — across the 1856 Old Bullock track toward Bantry Bay. Rest at the old Pleasure Gardens site (toilets), then Bay track along the water and a tough climb to The Bluff for Middle Harbour views. Finish on The Bluff track to Natural Bridge track. The western foreshore of the Bantry Bay Explosives Magazine Complex is closed; Magazine track and the eastern foreshore remain open. Continue to Davidson Park for a longer day.
