Sea Acres Rainforest Centre
Mid North Coast, NSW
Gateway to Sea Acres National Park at Port Macquarie, with eco-displays, cafe, gift shop and the easy 1.3 km rainforest boardwalk.
About this place
NPWS Sea Acres Rainforest Centre on Pacific Drive is the visitor hub for Sea Acres National Park, a coastal rainforest remnant next to Port Macquarie. Eco-displays cover Birpai Aboriginal culture and the rainforest; there is a gift shop, exhibitions by local artists, and the Rainforest Cafe among bangalow palms. The Sea Acres Rainforest boardwalk is an easy 1.3 km elevated walk through the canopy, suitable for all ages. Ranger-guided Aboriginal cultural tours and a monthly rainforest meditation use the centre as the meeting point. Self-guiding brochures are available on site.
