Sea Acres Rainforest Boardwalk
North Coast, NSW
An elevated boardwalk through old-growth coastal rainforest at Sea Acres National Park, Port Macquarie, with a visitor centre and cafe.
About this place
Sea Acres Rainforest Centre on Pacific Drive protects one of the last pockets of coastal rainforest on the NSW mid-north coast. An elevated boardwalk loops through the canopy so you stay off the forest floor; it is the gentlest 'hike' in Port Macquarie and a contrast to already-listed Tacking Point Lighthouse further south on the same headland. The visitor centre interprets Birpai Country and the ecology; there is a cafe on site. Park entry fees apply. Allow about an hour, longer if you linger for birds.
Access & getting there
On Pacific Drive south of Town Beach, before Tacking Point. Parking at the centre. Check visitor centre hours. Park fees apply.
