Putty Beach

Central Coast, NSW

Killcare's surf beach and the southern trailhead of the Bouddi coastal walk, with a picnic area, campground and ocean views to Gerrin Point.

About this place

Putty Beach is the long east-facing surf beach at Killcare Heights, inside Bouddi National Park. It is the official start of the 8.5 km Bouddi coastal walk to MacMasters Beach and the easiest vehicle-access beach in the park. The picnic area at the eastern end has toilets and is the jump-off for Gerrin Point lookout (about 1.2 km). A vehicle-accessible campground sits behind the dunes. Park entry fees apply in the Putty Beach precinct ($8 per vehicle per day via Park'nPay).

Access & getting there

From Empire Bay take Wards Hill Road, then The Scenic Road, then Putty Beach Road past the campground to the picnic area. Paid parking. The walk to Gerrin Point starts about 300 m east along the beach.
