Pearl Beach

Central Coast, NSW

A quiet Broken Bay village beach boxed in by Brisbane Water National Park — sand, bush and the walk over to Patonga.

About this place

Pearl Beach is a small, protected Central Coast village with Brisbane Water National Park on three sides and Broken Bay in front. The beach is calmer than the ocean beaches up the coast, with a rock pool and a bush backdrop. A walking track of moderate grade links Pearl Beach to Patonga through the national park — that is the reason hikers come. Keep it low-key; this is a residential village, not a strip.

Access & getting there

Drive via Umina and Mount Ettalong Rd. Limited parking in the village. Walking track to Patonga through Brisbane Water National Park.

Pearl Parade, Pearl Beach NSW 2256

Safety notes

Unpatrolled outside peak times. National park track to Patonga is uneven and can be hot — carry water.

Gear notes

Walking shoes if linking to Patonga.
