A long patrolled surf beach between Fingal Bay and Boat Harbour, on the Tomaree Coastal Walk south of Nelson Bay.
About this place
One Mile Beach is the open ocean beach at Anna Bay / One Mile, midway along the Tomaree coastline. The surf club patrols in season, there is parking behind the dunes, and the Tomaree Coastal Walk passes the beach on the way between Fingal Bay and Birubi Point. It is a quieter alternative to Fingal when you want a longer strip of sand without climbing Tomaree Head. Port Stephens Coaches route 130 stops nearby.
Access & getting there
Parking behind the surf club off Gan Gan Road. Bus route 130. Part of Tomaree National Park hinterland — dogs are not permitted in the park.
