Mungo Rainforest walk
Hunter, NSW
A short 1.5km loop from Mungo Brush campground through rare coastal rainforest in Myall Lakes National Park.
About this place
Mungo Rainforest walk starts at Mungo Brush campground and loops 1.5km through littoral rainforest beside Bombah Broadwater. NPWS grades it 3, 15-45 minutes, with short steep hills and an accessible section near the start. It is an easy add-on if you are camping at Mungo Brush or picnicking after the Bombah Point ferry. Birdsong is the soundtrack; afterwards use the campground barbecues. Combine with a paddle on the lower Myall River or a walk out to the surf beach.
