Mount Bouddi walking track starts at Mount Bouddi (Dingeldei) picnic area and runs 2.4km return through eucalypt woodland, grass trees and burrawangs to a lookout over Bouddi Point and the bombora off Maitland Bay. NPWS rates it easy, with some short steep sections, and suggests 30 minutes to 1 hour 30. Parrots and kookaburras are the soundtrack. You can retrace your steps for lunch at the picnic area, or link south onto the Bouddi coastal walk and return via Maitland Bay track and Strom loop if you want a longer circuit. A quieter Bouddi extra than the main coastal traverse.
Access & getting there
Access via Mount Bouddi Road off The Scenic Road. Park at Dingeldei picnic area. Park entry fees apply in the Putty Beach area only.
