Minnamurra Falls walk
Illawarra, NSW
A 4.2 km return Grade 4 rainforest walk from Minnamurra Rainforest Centre in Budderoo National Park to upper and lower Minnamurra Falls.
About this place
Minnamurra Falls walk starts at Minnamurra Rainforest Centre west of Kiama, branching off the Lyrebird loop. NPWS lists Grade 4, 4.2 km return, 1–2 hours, on elevated walkway and paved track to viewing platforms at the lower and upper falls. Steep sections, no wheelchair access; NPWS notes it is pram-friendly with effort. Gates 9 am–5 pm, last access 3 pm, $12 per vehicle. The centre can close when the carpark is full — avoid 11 am–2 pm peak. Amenities upgrades in 2026 may reroute the start; follow on-site signage.
