Minerva Pool Walking Track
Macarthur, NSW
Short Dharawal walk to a sacred women's waterhole near Wedderburn — picnic at the pool, and respect who may enter the water.
About this place
Minerva Pool walking track is 2.4km return, Grade 3, 1-2 hours from the end of Victoria Road, Wedderburn. The track runs through Dharawal Country to a sandstone waterhole with a small island and a cascade. Tharawal Local Aboriginal Land Council asks that only women and children enter the waters — this is a sacred women's place. The picnic area and toilet at the trackhead are wheelchair-accessible via an unpaved 100m road; the walk itself is not. Deep pool, irregular cliffs, no jumping. Take a virtual tour on Google Street View Trekker if you want a preview.
