About this place
Middle Head – Gubbuh Gubbuh to Georges Head walking track links two Sydney Harbour headlands at Mosman. Park at either end. You pass the 1801 fort, Obelisk Casemate (Nielsen Park sits opposite), Obelisk Beach (nude bathing), Beehive and Armoured casemates, and Belvedere lookout between North and South Head. NPWS: 3km one-way, Grade 2, 1-2 hours; 6km if you retrace. A bitumen section toward Inner and Outer Middle Head is the more accessible stretch. Chowder Bay parking is timed; Harbour Trust carparks are not covered by an NPWS pass.
Access & getting there
Drive Middle Head Road to the end, or Chowder Bay Road to Georges Head. Harbour Trust paid parking at Middle Head Road/Chowder Bay Road (3 accessible bays). NPWS pass covers some Chowder Bay meters for up to 4 hours. Bus to Middle Head. Park sunrise to sunset.

Safety notes
Unfenced harbour edges. Fort tunnels restricted. Obelisk Beach is nude bathing. Take all rubbish. No drones.
