Easy 1 km loop through mallee eucalypts and a low spinifex dune on the eastern side of Lake Mungo.

NPWS lists Mallee Stop walking track as a Grade 3, 1 km loop (15-45 minutes) on the eastern side of Lake Mungo along the self-guided drive. The flat track loops through mallee country then over a low dune of spinifex, with interpretive signs on plants and fauna. Picnic at Mallee Stop after the walk. No dogs; park entry fees apply.
Access & getting there
Unsealed dry-weather loop road from Mungo Visitor Centre. 2WD when dry; roads close after rain. Carry all drinking water.
