Lake Jindabyne foreshore
Snowy Mountains, NSW
Banjo Paterson Park and the shared lakeside path in Jindabyne, a dog-friendly picnic and walk base before or after the snow.
About this place
Banjo Paterson Park at 33 Kosciuszko Road, Jindabyne, is the main public foreshore on Lake Jindabyne, with picnic and barbecue areas, playground, skate park, toilets and parking. A sealed shared path runs along the waterfront toward town and other foreshore parks. Snowy Monaro Regional Council completed erosion and bank-stability works near the sailing club and McLure Circuit in 2025; footpaths remained open. The Claypits precinct has had carpark upgrades. Leashed dogs are welcome in the town parks (unlike Kosciuszko National Park). Host of the Lake Light Sculpture Festival. Free council parking at the park.
Access & getting there
In Jindabyne town, opposite the lake. Walk or cycle the foreshore path. No national-park entry fee here.
