Kinchega Homestead billabong walk

Far West, NSW

A 2.3 km loop from old Kinchega Homestead along the billabong to the Darling River through pastoral ruins and birdlife.

About this place

NPWS lists this Grade 3 walk as 2.3 km loop (1.5–2.5 hours) packing in homestead history, wildlife and outback scenery as it follows the billabong toward the Darling. Combine it with Kinchega Woolshed and the visitor centre on Woolshed Drive. Shade is limited; summer is harsh. Menindee Lakes levels change the bird show.

Access & getting there
