Kanangra Walls Walk
Blue Mountains, NSW
Short plateau and gorge walks from Kanangra Walls carpark to lookouts, Dance Floor Cave and Kalang Falls.
About this place
From Kanangra Walls carpark in Kanangra-Boyd National Park, NPWS describes an easy 520 m gravel walk to Kanangra-Boyd lookout over Kanangra Deep, the Walls and Mount Cloudmaker. Side tracks drop to Kalang Falls and follow the Plateau Walk across heath to Dance Floor Cave and cliff-edge views of Kanangra Falls after rain. The last stretch of Kanangra Walls Road is unsealed. Remote K2K wilderness routes beyond the plateau are fire-regrowth and flood damaged; stay on the short formed walks unless you are experienced.
Access & getting there
From Oberon via Ross Street toward Jenolan then Kanangra-Boyd; long unsealed road to the carpark. Jenolan Caves precinct is closed until 2027 so do not rely on the caves as a stop. 2WD possible in dry weather; check conditions.

Unfenced cliffs. Wombats on the road at dusk. Remote area with limited mobile coverage. Stay off unmaintained wilderness routes without navigation skills and a PLB.
Gear notes
