Jingga Walking Track
Macarthur, NSW
Steep 2.4km return in Dharawal National Park to Jingga Pool, a large freshwater hole on O'Hares Creek.
About this place
Jingga means 'nice and sweet' water in Dharawal, and the track delivers a large swimming hole on O'Hares Creek. From the Victoria Road gate walk about 400m to the signed start, then a short steep management trail (Grade 3, 2.4km return, 1-1.5 hours) to a rock platform with 10 steps at the end. Daylight hours only. Pack a picnic and binoculars — long-nosed potoroos still live in this catchment. Same trailhead precinct as Minerva Pool and O'Hares Creek lookout, but a different, steeper walk. Gate gap is pedestrian-only.
Access & getting there
Same Victoria Road access as Minerva Pool. Park in the asphalt carparks at the end of the road (2 accessible bays). Walk past the locked vehicle gate; Jingga is signposted on the left after about 400m. Open daylight hours only. Limited weekend parking.
Victoria Rd, Wedderburn NSW 2560 (signed on the left about 400m past the entrance gate)
Safety notes
Steep grades. Slippery rock platform. Self-reliant walking. Limited mobile coverage. Open daylight hours only.
Gear notes
Shoes with grip, water, swim kit if you plan to enter the hole. Pack out rubbish.
