Jibbon Loop Track
Royal National Park, NSW
Bundeena's harbour-side loop along Jibbon Beach to the headland Aboriginal engraving site, now viewed from a conservation boardwalk.
About this place
Jibbon is the Bundeena leftover that is not The Coast Track (which starts at Beachcomber Avenue). From Bundeena or Bonnie Vale, walk Jibbon Beach then the headland loop to a Dharawal engraving site — one of Royal National Park's most important Aboriginal places. NPWS has built a boardwalk and viewing platform so you no longer walk on the rock. Allow a few hours for beach, bush and the lookout over Port Hacking. Return via the beach or the inland track. Ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena makes it a car-free half day.
Access & getting there
Ferry Cronulla to Bundeena, then walk through town to Jibbon Beach. Or drive to Bonnie Vale (2 Sea Breeze Lane) and walk east. Park entry $12 if driving into Royal NP. Stay on the boardwalk at the engravings.
Jibbon Beach / Jibbon Loop Track, Bundeena NSW 2230 (access from Bundeena township or Bonnie Vale)
Safety notes
Do not walk on the engravings — use the boardwalk. Unpatrolled beach. Tide affects the beach section. Supervise children on rock platforms.
Gear notes
Shoes you can wear on sand and rock. Water and sun protection. Swim kit.
