Hargraves Lookout
Blue Mountains, NSW
Council lookout on Shipley Road, Blackheath, with Megalong and Kanimbla valley views opposite the Grose rim.
About this place
NPWS Blackheath lookouts driving route includes council-run Hargraves lookout and Mount Blackheath lookout west of the highway via Shipley Road. Hargraves looks over Megalong and Kanimbla rather than the Grose, so it is the sunset-facing counterpart to Govetts Leap. It is outside the national park on Blue Mountains City Council land. Useful when Grose roads are icy or Pulpit Rock is closed. Unfenced sections exist; stay behind barriers.
Access & getting there
