About this place
Greenfield Beach picnic area in Jervis Bay National Park is the extra to already-listed Hyams Beach and the White Sands walk: this is where many people actually start the White Sands / Scribbly Gum circuit. Picnic tables and parking sit in spotted gum forest a short walk from a sheltered bay beach. It is calmer and more shaded than Hyams, better for a family barbecue, then you walk south toward Hyams if you want the famous white sand. NPWS junior ranger programs sometimes run here.
Access & getting there
Signposted from Vincentia / Elizabeth Drive area. Parking on site. The White Sands walk heads south toward Hyams. Dogs not permitted in the national park.

Bay beach is usually calmer than the ocean side but still unpatrolled here. Stay on tracks.
