NPWS places Giant Stairway beside Three Sisters walk: 998 stairs from Echo Point down to Honeymoon Bridge at the first sister, originally built in 1909. The linked Echo Point to Scenic World walk is 4.7 km one-way (2 to 3 hours) via Giant Stairway and Federal Pass to Katoomba Falls, with the option of Scenic Railway back up (last train around 3.50 pm, fees apply). Honeymoon Bridge has been closed for rockfall. Furber Steps, the usual western climb, has had upgrade closures; check alerts.
Access & getting there
Walk 450 m along Three Sisters walk from Echo Point to the top of Giant Stairway. Train to Katoomba then bus or walk to Echo Point. Honeymoon Bridge closed due to rockfall. Check NPWS alerts for Federal Pass and Furber Steps.

Very steep historic stairs; knees and fitness matter in both directions. Honeymoon Bridge closed. Carry water and allow time if climbing back out.
