About this place
NPWS Fort Grey campground is the western camping base in Sturt National Park, on the road from Tibooburra toward Cameron Corner. It sits near ephemeral Lake Pinaroo, a listed wetland when it holds water, at the change from gibber plains to Strzelecki dune country. NPWS provides toilets, barbecues and water at Sturt campgrounds, but treat water as limited and bring extra. Wood fires are not permitted in the park. Book and pay park entry.
