Flint and Steel Track
Northern Beaches, NSW
Family-friendly 2km return from West Head Road down through cabbage-tree palms to Flint and Steel Beach on Broken Bay.
About this place
Flint and Steel track is the easy West Head swim walk. From a small carpark on West Head Road the 2km return drops through ironbark, grass trees and a grove of cabbage-tree palms before a steep pinch onto Flint and Steel Beach. The payoff is a north-west view to Lion Island and Broken Bay. The beach is unpatrolled and open to swell, so swim with care. Weekends fill the tiny carpark fast. Toilets are at Resolute picnic area, not at the beach.
