Fairfax Walk
Northern Beaches, NSW
Paved 1km North Head loop to Burragula and Yiningma lookouts — harbour skyline one way, ocean cliffs the other, and a winter whale watch.
About this place
Fairfax walk is the accessible Sydney Harbour National Park leftover at North Head: a 1km Grade 1 asphalt loop from the end of North Head Scenic Drive. Burragula lookout faces the harbour, South Head and the city; Yiningma looks north along the cliffs toward Blue Fish Point. It is one of the best wheelchair-friendly walks in the harbour parks and a serious whale-watching perch from May to November. Bluefish Point, Old Man's Hat, Cannae Point and Quarantine Head remain closed for fire damage and instability — stay on the signed Fairfax circuit. $5 parking at North Head.
Access & getting there
