Empress Falls
Blue Mountains, NSW
The standout cascade in Valley of the Waters, reached on steep stairs from Conservation Hut.
About this place
Empress Falls is the largest drop in Valley of the Waters at Wentworth Falls, a multi-tier cascade on the creek below Conservation Hut. NPWS still points visitors to Empress, Silvia and Lodore Falls from the hut, while closing the valley below Silvia Falls for rockfall. Empress Canyon (a 30 m overhanging abseil) is a separate technical trip for experienced canyoners only. This listing is the waterfall viewpoint on the walking track, not the canyon.
