Davidson Park

Northern Beaches, NSW

Garigal's family picnic precinct on Middle Harbour at Roseville Bridge — barbecues, boat ramp and the start of Governor Phillip Walk.

About this place

Davidson Park is the only Garigal National Park site with a vehicle entry fee ($8) and the one locals treat as a full-day picnic. Lawns, tables and barbecues sit on Middle Harbour just east of Roseville Bridge, with a boat ramp and swimming in calm water (check conditions). Lyrebird track leaves the northern end toward Carroll Creek, Governor Phillip Walk and Stepping Stone Crossing. Gates 6am-6pm (8pm daylight saving). It is the civilised way to start a Garigal bush day without the Seaforth Oval carpark scramble.

Access & getting there

Travel southwest along Warringah Road from Forestville and take the Healey Way exit on the northeast side of Roseville Bridge. $8 per vehicle. Gates 6am-6pm (8pm DST).

Healey Way, Forestville NSW 2087 (off Warringah Rd at Roseville Bridge)

Safety notes

Supervise children near the water. Boat ramp traffic. Park gates lock.

Gear notes

Picnic kit. Swimwear if conditions allow. Cash/card for park entry.
