Dark Point walking track
Hunter, NSW
A 2km return walk to Little Gibber — Worimi coastal country looking across to Broughton Island.
About this place
Dark Point walking track, also called Little Gibber Trail, runs from a carpark off Mungo Brush Road to Dark Point Aboriginal Place in southern Myall Lakes National Park. NPWS lists 2km return, 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, Grade 5. The headland is significant to the Worimi people, with views to Broughton Island. Stay on the track, do not disturb middens or cultural material, and treat it as a living cultural landscape rather than a scramble. Sand and gentle hills; limited facilities at the carpark.
