NPWS Culgoa Connellys track is Grade 5, 8 km return (2-3 hours) starting at Culgoa River campground in the Burban Grange precinct. Culgoa National Park protects Coolibah floodplain on the Culgoa River in far north-west NSW. The walk is for experienced, self-reliant walkers. Access is about 180 km of unsealed road north-east of Bourke, or 120 km unsealed north of Brewarrina — dry weather only. No dogs. Tell someone your plans; coverage is negligible.
Access & getting there
Unsealed dry-weather road ~180 km NE of Bourke or ~120 km north of Brewarrina. Independent travellers only. Carry extra fuel, water and a PLB. Check NPWS Bourke before committing to the drive.
