Centennial Glen
Blue Mountains, NSW
Blackheath's west-side glen, grotto and waterfall walks below Centennial Glen Road, popular with walkers and climbers.
About this place
Centennial Glen (The Grotto) sits west of Blackheath village, dropping off Centennial Glen Road into a sandstone glen with waterfalls, a canyon-like slot and climbing crags. It is a local alternative to the Grose rim walks and is outside the main Govetts Leap tourist circuit. Paths are steep and can be slippery. Climbers use adjoining walls; walkers should stay on walking tracks and keep clear of rope lines. Pair with a village cafe on Govetts Leap Road or Wentworth Street.
Access & getting there
West of Blackheath off the highway; limited roadside parking. Check BMCC closures. Not a fenced lookout walk.
