About this place
NPWS calls Carne View lookout the jewel of Gardens of Stone SCA, with panoramic views over Carne Creek and the Carne Walls. There is no vehicle access. Reach it on Broad Swamp to Birds Rock walking track (17.5 km one-way, part of the Gardens of Stone Pagoda Walk) with a 1.5 km return detour, or as a 7 km return from Birds Rock carpark on a remote fire trail. Birds Rock carpark is 4WD only.
Access & getting there
No 2WD carpark at the lookout. Birds Rock carpark is 4WD only. The long walk starts at Broad Swamp. No dogs. Remote, no reception.
