Camp Blackman
Warrumbungles, NSW
The Warrumbungles' main family campground — powered sites, hot showers and Dark Sky Park nights under the spires.
About this place
Camp Blackman is the largest and best-equipped campground in Warrumbungle National Park, with 107 marked sites for tents, camper trailers and caravans beside John Renshaw Parkway. Kangaroos, cockatoos and kookaburras share the grassy flats, and walking and cycling tracks leave from near camp. Because the site sits inside Australia's first Dark Sky Park, NPWS asks campers to use approved lighting — then the night sky does the rest. Book ahead for spring, autumn school holidays, Easter and the October long weekend.
Access & getting there
Sealed access from Coonabarabran via Timor Road / John Renshaw Parkway. Park entry fees apply on top of camping fees. Book online with NPWS.
