Bronte Beach
Eastern Suburbs, NSW
A pocket Eastern Suburbs beach with a famous ocean pool, parkland picnic lawns and a prime stop on the Bondi to Coogee walk.
About this place
Bronte sits two kilometres south of Bondi and punches above its size. The beach is backed by a grassy gully and picnic park, with the 30-metre Bronte Baths ocean pool at the southern end — a local institution. Surfers work the banks; less confident swimmers stick to the pool. Cafes line the opposite side of the park, which makes Bronte an easy turnaround if you only walk the Bondi to Bronte section of the coastal path. Patrolled in season.
Access & getting there
Buses from Bondi Junction. Paid street and park parking fills early on weekends.

Safety notes
Swim between the flags. Rips can be strong. The rock pool is calmer than the surf beach.
