Boyds Tower
South Coast, NSW
Benjamin Boyd's unfinished sandstone tower on Twofold Bay — the northern trailhead of the Light to Light walk, with a 350 m path to a lookout over red rock.
About this place
Boyds Tower is the 1840s sandstone lookout and intended lighthouse built for entrepreneur Benjamin Boyd on the southern headland of Twofold Bay, now in Beowa National Park (formerly Ben Boyd). A 350 m hard-packed gravel track from the carpark leads to the tower and a boardwalk viewing platform looking north over the bay and the folded red rock of Red Point. It is the northern start of the Light to Light walk. Accessible parking is provided. Park entry fees apply in the Green Cape area. Combine with a short section of the walk if you do not have three days.
