Box Head track

An easy 3.1 km return Bouddi ridge walk to Box Head lookout, with views over Broken Bay, Lion Island and Sydney's northern beaches.
About this place
Box Head track follows Bouddi National Park's southernmost ridge from the end of Hawke Head Drive through red gums and windswept heath to Box Head lookout. NPWS lists it as 3.1 km return, 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. The lookout takes in Tallow and Little Tallow beaches, Broken Bay, Lion Island and across to the northern beaches. Side trails link to Flannel Flower walking track and the descent to Tallow Beach campground. Park entry fees apply in the Putty Beach area only.
Access & getting there
Park at the end of Hawke Head Drive. The track is also joined by Flannel Flower walking track from Killcare. No park fee at this trailhead.
