Woy Woy to Point Clare (50km)
About this event
This will be an exploratory walk, exploring large sections of the beautiful Brisbane Water national park. We will do a bit of street walking, go into the bush for about 12km and then come out at Pearl Beach for an early lunch at the local café. Menu can be found here: https://www.pearlbeachcafe.com/take-away-menu We will then continue the walk up through the middle section of the park for another 30km or so until we reach Point Clare station. NB: the last train is at 6.30pm but there are regular buses afterwards which are just as fast, so we will probably need to catch the bus Preparations: Bring plenty of water, wear sensible walking shoes, a hat & sun screen. Please also bring a head torch as we will walking the last couple hours in the dark. Distance: 50km Elevation: 1,400m Pace: 4 – 4.5km p/h Terrain: Hilly/Mountainous Early exits: Early exit after lunch @ 20km mark
