Wondabyne to Woy Woy via Pindar Cave 25km Easy Weather: Sunny/cloudy unlikely to rain Transport: to be updated (central platform 18 6:41am stopping at straithfield 7:01am and then change trains arriving Wondabyne at 8am). IMPORTANT: You will need to be in the last/back carriage last door and let the train guard know you will want to get off at Wondabyne. I will be on the train so please be at the last carriage. There is no road onto Wondabyne and you cannot drive here. Details: This walk starts at a small isolated train station, and takes in some great scenery on the way to Woy Woy station. The walk gets most of the climbing out of the way quickly. Once up on the main ridge there are great views along the Hawkesbury River and Mooney Mooney creek. Highlights of the walk include Kariong Brook Falls and Mt Wondabyne, the highest point in the area. We will do a detour to Pindar Cave and back. The walk does pass Woy Woy tip, and has a bit of a road slog at the end, but overall is a lovely one way walk. IMPORTANT NOTES: – You are responsible for looking after your own health and safety. You must also take care not to put other people at risk. – stick together as a group, but while keeping the 1.5m social distancing within the group the entire event. – Stay away from any cliff edges, and use appropriate measures (eg poles, trees, handholds) to ensure your own safety – You are a healthy individual with no symptoms of illness ie: cough, flu, cold or other underlying health issues etc. If unwell, please stay at home! – You have not been admitted in the hospital or quarantined for the past 14 days. – You have not been or coming from overseas for the past 14 days. – Wear comfortable outfit and sturdy walking shoes. Bring at least 3L of water, food, snacks, hand sanitizer,light rainjacket, windbreaker and small towel. I will cap it at 15 for now, No gratuity required.
