Thredbo to Thredbo via Main Range – 40km

Day 3 of Kosciuszko NP walks (December 29th) Up Merritts Nature Trail, we’ll be doing the main range walk (stopping by Charlottes Pass), with a nice detour to the large Blue Lake before coming back down through main rangewalk and Merritts Nature Track. Distance: 40km Elevation: 1800m, most of it at the start from Thredbo uptowards Eagle nest. Disclaimer: Hard. Track is very straightforward to follow, just a bit of elevation and distance. We don’t take chairlift cause that would be to easy. Weather: ? Accomodation: There are a few accomodations available in thredbo if you want to make a trip out of it, I am also hosting another walk on the 28th and 29th in Kosciousko NP. I will be there 26-30th. IMPORTANT NOTES: – You are responsible for looking after your own health and safety. You must also take care not to put other people at risk. – Do not venture off the trail or close to cliff edges. – Stay together as a group, but maintaining the 1.5m social distancing requirement within the group the entire event. – You are a healthy individual with no symptoms of illness ie: cough, flu, cold or other underlying health issues etc. If unwell, please stay at home! – You have not been admitted in the hospital or quarantined for the past 14 days. – You have not been or coming from overseas for the past 14 days. – Wear comfortable outfit and sturdy walking shoes. Bring at least 3.5L of water, food, snacks, hand sanitizer, light rainjacket, windbreaker and small towel. No gratuity required. Can move from waitlist if can confirm come, just send me a PM.
