About this event

Lots of variations in the track, and the possibility of a dip in the pool on a hot day, make this trail an enjoyable! hike. Wear the correct footwear if it has just rained track can be muddy and slippery on the slope down, and after heavy rain sometimes the river is impassable. This can be done as a day walk or there is the option of staying overnight at Uloola Falls. Expect this to be a challenging hike as parts will be exploratory. We expect to be going off-track and bush-bashing will be required. Not for the unadventurous! Distance: 24km Elevation/Ascent: 700m Pace: 3 – 5km p/h Terrain: Exploratory, difficult terrain incl. bush bashing for up to 7km Early exits: No early exits Getting there: 7.29am train from Central Station Preparations: Bring plenty of water (at least 3L), wear sensible walking shoes, a hat and sun screen. Bring lunch/snacks as required. It will also be getting dark near the end of the walk, so bringing a head torch is recommended.
