About this event
This course is called Hwadae Traverse (화대종주), named after the first letters of Hwaeomsa Temple (화엄사) and Daewonsa Temple (대원사). It is the longest and most famous of the Jirisan traverse courses. Those with more hiking experience can complete this course in one day. But it is also popular for those who want to make it a multi-day backpacking trip and stop at various shelters along the way. Hikers will enjoy the stunning sunrise and sunset views of Jirisan.
