Summit four classic Canterbury peaks: Castle Hill Peak, Mt Cloudsley, Avalanche Peak and Mt Bealey.
The expedition
Take on a compact but demanding Canterbury peak-bagging mission across the Arthur's Pass and Craigieburn area. This challenge links four memorable summits: Castle Hill Peak, Mt Cloudsley, Avalanche Peak and Mt Bealey.
Each summit earns 100 points, with a 500-point completion bonus when all four are logged. Expect big views, exposed alpine weather, and routes that may require confident navigation rather than casual trail walking.
Plan conservatively: check current DOC/local route information, weather, daylight, snow or ice conditions, and access notes before heading out. Admin should verify exact route suitability, seasonal considerations and any local restrictions before publishing.
